SUN Bucks returns this summer! SUN Bucks works just like CalFresh and provides $40 per month for food from June through August ($120 total) for qualifying families with children. Most children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals, or get CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal, are automatically enrolled. Children in foster care, experiencing homelessness, attending Head Start, and children considered runaways are also automatically enrolled. Some children may need to sign up. Participating in SUN Bucks does not affect a family’s immigration status. Visit our FAQs page for more information.
