Foster Park, Ventura
Foster Park is open to pedestrian access only. Ventura County Parks is in the process of working with a design firm for the re-establishing of parking and amenities at Foster Park.
A series of beautiful green hill ranges serve as the backdrop for this picturesque park. The Ventura River flows through the park, which lends to the beautiful landscape of lush green vegetation that thrives among the adult shade trees. There is a separate Day Use area and two different campgrounds to choose from, Residence Campground and Red Mountain Campground. The Ojai Valley Trail (equestrian, bike, and walking) runs through the park.
Peak Season Park Use – Please note for the safety of park users, the Ventura County Parks Department may close down a park due to capacity at anytime. Weekends are a very popular time at County Parks and most weekends during peak season, Foster Park and Steckel Park close to capacity. To ensure that you can park inside the park, please arrive early with your day use fee ready and follow all posted parking signs within the park.
