Bootcamp for New Dads (in English and Spanish)

Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, join experienced dads (with their babies) as they share how they navigated the first months of parenthood and emerged as confident, hands-on fathers. You’ll learn how to handle a baby and discover important topics you might not have considered.

This combination – expecting dads, new dads, and experienced dads – in a room for 2-3 hours makes for a great educational opportunity. The expecting dads learn from the experienced dads as they watch them feed, burp, change and care for their babies while hearing their experiences, advice, and encouragement.

Experienced fathers will also address a broad range of issues including the “trouble shooter’s guide” to crying babies, bonding, work hours, forming a parenting team, safety, preventing child abuse, dealing with relatives, etc.

Registration is required:

English Registration:  Aug. 9th from 9 a.m. to noon. Register by Aug. 1st.

Spanish RegistrationSept.13, from 9 a.m. to noon. Register by Sept. 5th.

For more information or questions, you may contact Program Coordinator, Jose Olarte, at 805 795-3197.
