The City of Ventura’s Housing Rights Clinic is a free, virtual clinic held every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m., run by the Housing Rights Center (HRC). It is available to all Ventura city residents, including tenants and landlords.
What is covered
The virtual clinic is staffed by HRC housing counselors who can answer questions on a variety of topics, including:
- Fair housing laws
- Landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities
- Notices and the eviction process
- Rent increases and security deposits
- Repairs and harassment
How to attend
Appointments are required to attend the virtual clinic. You can book an appointment by visiting the Ventura Housing Clinics page on the Housing Rights Center’s website.
If you do not have a personal computer, you can use one at a local public library in Ventura to join the virtual call.
