The California Department of Social Services has shared that there is a third-party mobile app called Ebt edge – food stamps available in the The App Store. This app mimics the official ebtEDGE app and charges users a $4.99 weekly fee or $60 for lifetime access.

DO NOT download or use the Ebt edge – food stamps app. California will NEVER charge EBT cardholders to use the official ebtEDGE app. To protect your benefits and personal information, please use the official, state-supported ebtEDGE app only.
