The City of Ventura partners with the Housing Rights Center (HRC) to provide free in-person housing counseling for residents every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ventura City Hall.
What is covered
During office hours, residents can meet with HRC housing counselor for information and assistance on a variety of topics, including:
- Fair housing laws
- Landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities
- Notices and the eviction process
- Rent increases and security deposits
- Repairs and harassment
How to attend
Appointments are not required, and residents are assisted on a first come, first served basis. To check for updates to the schedule or room location, please visit the City of Ventura’s Calendar.

Tuesdays:
- Anacapa Conference Room (9:30 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm*)
Thursdays:

- Room 124 – CD Conference Room (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm*)
*Last person will be seen at 4:30 pm
