Child Welfare Data
Children & Family Services provides safety and protection for children who are at risk of abuse and/or neglect. Children and Family Services social workers help strengthen families to protect their children from harm and reduce the likelihood of recurring child abuse and neglect. Social workers and parents work together to develop a plan which identifies necessary services and supports to address the family’s needs. The ultimate goal is to return the child to a safe and permanent home.

The California Child Welfare Indicators Project (CCWIP), a collaboration between the University of California at Berkeley and the California Department of Social Services, provides customizable information on California’s child welfare system. En Continuum of Care Reform (CCR) Dashboard, created by the CA Department of Social Services, is a tool that displays data trends for several CCR indicators. Statewide and county-specific information is available for congregate care, resource families and related services.
